1991 AWD Paint
When I bought the car, the roof and hood had these big white acid rain looking patches. The rest of the car looks very good. I had planned on repainting the whole car a different color later, but wanted to fix these unsightly patches now.

The left side (not sanded) is what it looked like.
I used 400 and 600 grit sandpaper to smooth the roughness out.

Towel under hood to protect the fender from overspray.

Other side the same principal but used a trash bag.

This is the paint I used. I also taped off the sunroof
to paint the trim piece around that as well. All overspray was removed
from the glass with a razor blade and chemicals.

Here is the first coat (2 Cans roof and hood). If you look you can still see where the patches were. I let this dry and cure for a few days, snaded some more with the 600 grit and sprayed on 2 more cans to finish it up. |

Here it is complete. It is rough because the spray
nozzle was acting up but may be polished to look better by using the
turtle wax color code and a buffer. I haven't had time to try it yet.
