Knock Sensor Install
I replaced this with the head removed. This page is to give you an idea of where it is located. You can do it with the head on the car, but it is real tough to get to.

There it is next to the starter under the plenum on
the back off the engine block.

On the bracket holding the intake plenum to the block, is the harness for the sensor.

Here it is unplugged.

Using a 24mm wrench (I think) remove the old sensor.

Screw the new one in and torque it to specs in your manual. Plug the harness connector back in and you are done. Make sure you do not over tighten it or leave it too loose. |
