Front Prothane Motor Mount Inserts
The Easiest mount to do in my opinion. Due to how easy it is to get to and the fact that you do not have to remove the old one.

There is the front mount for clarification. Jack the engine up as shown on the Driver' side mount page and leave the jacks there for all of the mounts except the transmission mount. |

Working from underneath the car remove the center bolt through the mount (14mm). I moved my head and body from under the car while pulling this bolt out. Just in case. You may be able to find a place to wedge the wrench for removal. Stay clear of the clutch lines and other fragile parts if you do wedge it. |

Next remove the other bolt through the mount and car chassis (14mm). |

Using a bunch of extensions and a ratchet, I removed
the bolt on the top of the mount (14mm).

Here is another shot to show where the bolt is.

Now it should pull out from the front of the car.

Here it is out. By it's side are the new mounts.

Place the inserts in as shown. One side of the insert
is smaller than the other. Only one way to go in.

Squeeze it together and they are in.

Put it back in. Add the bolt through the rubber part first, grease if you like. Hand tighten so it can wiggle around if needed for aligning remaining bolts. Add the bolt through the bracket part (mount underneath). Finally the 14 mm bolt from the front top. Tighten the bolts from the frame to the mount then the one through the rubber part last. All done! |
