The AWD has some rough idle so being it has 105K. I figured it was time to blockoff the EGR Valve. There are other vfaqs on this also.

Here is the EGR Valve on the car. If you look above, you can see where I pulled the ISC Motor for testing. Remove the vacuum lines from the valve and mark them. |

With a 12mm socket, remove the two bolts and the valve should come off. The left arrow shows the vacuum lines. |

Here is the EGR valve and the metal gasket off of
the car.

Scribe a line around the gasket onto a piece of metal.
I choose to use metal left over from hacking the airbox. It seems sturdy

Here is the line I traced. I used a Dremel to cut
around the mark.

Then took a sanding stone to remove rough or jagged
edges.

I scribed lines for the 12mm bolts to attach it back to the intake. The pictures below show where I drilled the hole out and widened it with a dremel with gasket on. This enabled me to be more precise. |

I added RTV sealant to the valve before putting the
plate on.

Here is a pic with the plate back on and last the gasket. I added more RTV to the side that meets the intake manifold. That's it! Bolt it back on and add the vacuum lines back. |
